They're Racing At Daytona And That's No Bull !

It used to be called the "Firecracker 400" and they ran the race on July the Fourth, no matter what day of the week it fell on. That was then ! Now its called the "Pepsi 400", a Nascar race that has been run for years, reduced to prostituting it's name and changing its day for money and to please the corporations. It's not only Nascar, many of the greatly named venues have changed their names for the almighty dollar. I wonder if Trojan offered these venues enough money, they'd change their names and be obligated to have all of their executives named "Richard" openly wear the apparel as a hat?

They had the "running of the bulls" today in Pamplona, Spain. I am a big fan of events like this because it reduces the idiot population. I believe hunters who shoot animals for sport and not for the meat, refer to this as "thinning the herds". Hopefully, many of these "sport" hunters participated in today's event. It's called a "two-fer" (two for the price of one, for the unvaccinated).

We don't have a CAT Award winner this week. There were some weak attempts by soon-to-be's, but they just couldn't rise to the occasion. Maybe I'll submit their names to Viagra and Trojan.

News From AREA 51: I'll be starting to email everyone next week as to the status of the opening of "The Alibi", the new restaurant that will be occupy the old Krystel's location. I'm also trying to come up with a temporary site for next Wednesday and Friday. If you have any thoughts, leave a comment or email me at JimSulliv3@aol.com .

The Pictures: Speaking of Pamplona, Spain, here are some great shots of the festivities today. Other than actually running with the bulls, it looks like a great party. My Daddy told me when I was a puppy, "Son, don't fight with someone who has nothing to lose" and "If, you 'mess' with the bull, you get the horn."

The Hits Just Keep On Coming:  Three Guys !

A Canadian farmer, Osama Bin Laden and an American engineer are together at a U.N. meeting in Iran, when they find a lantern and a genie pops out. The genie says, "I will give each of you a wish for freeing me,"

The Canadian farmer says, "My grandfather, my father and I, are farmers. I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada." Pooof ! Wish granted !

Amazed, Osma Bin Laden, says, "I want an inpenetrable wall around Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran with all believers of Mohammed inside and all Jews, Christians and other infidels outside of our precious state." Pooof ! Wish granted !

The American engineer says, "I'm curious about this wall. Tell me more about it." The genie say, "It's 5,000 feet high, it's 500 feet thick and completely surrounds the three countries... it's virtually inpenetrable. Now, what is your wish?"

The American engineer smiles and says, "Fill it with water !"

Poooof !

That's it for today, my little flamenco dancers. More on Monday.

Stay Tuned !

I think your daddy was right about messin with a bull. I saw a few people getting the wrong end of a horn in many of those pictures.

BTW, I'm surprised they have not changed the 4th of July or Christmas to Monday or Friday just to make it more convienient for the same reasons. I have felt about Christmas the same way you feel about the Pepsi race. At least your bad guys 'wear' Trojans.

BTW, when I was a very young adult I worked at the local university. On Friday and Saturday nights at the student center, they showed movies. All old! And a lot of times, they were the Marx Bro. movies. That was really fun because we all went as a group.

I'm in total agreement with you! Thinning the herds is right. These days it's hard put to find someone who wouldn't sell out for the almighty dollar. (Hugs) Indigo

I try to send some people I know to run with the bulls, but they never want to go! Go figure. It's worth a shot though, right?

LOL...fill it with water.
