Someone Needs To Tell October That It's Fall, Not Monsoon Season !

It has rained all weekend, especially last night and all of Mundane Monday. Poor Monday, it's bad enough that it only gets credit for long weekends, but a monsoon only adds insult to injury. Perhaps Monday's just doing us a favor by getting over itself, rain and all, in one fell swoop (what's a fell swoop? I have no idea).

I saw a recent piece on CNN where they reported that some politician is either strongly suggesting or proposing a bill that the airline industry have a section of the plane for children. I personally would love to see this so that all of the parents who prescribe non-corporal punishment for misbehaving children be subjected to sitting with each other until the weakest link in the chain goes beserk and smacks the shit out of one of the little morons.

We never flew much on planes as children, but I can assure you that the mere thought of making a scene on an airplane or anywhere, for that matter, would result in an immediate smack from the closest parent. If you began to cry (usually due to embarrassment, not to the force of the smack), this was grounds for smack number two, which was usually a harder one. You quickly learned how to stiffle your tears and how to behave in public.

Britney Spears has had custody of her two children taken away and awarded to her husband, Kevin Federlein. This must take place within days. That girl needs some serious help !

The Pictures: Some pictures of Hawaii, My favorite sunset, One of my aol drawings which I slipped in, A little red house in upper New England which I like to call "A Little Red House In Upper New England" (what?),  and the "usual suspects".

This Date In History: 1927: New York Yankee Outfielder, Babe Ruth, hits his 60th home run of the season, braking his own record. 1946: Following World War II, the International Military Tribunal in Nurnberg, Germany, sentences eleven leaders of Nazi Germany to death for war crimes. 1955; Actor James Dean dies at the age of 24 in an auto accident in California. having starred in only three movies. 1977; Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder, Roberto Clemente, collects his 300th and final hit of his career, three months before dying in a plane crash while on an earthquake rescue mission.

Birthdays: Truman Capote, writer (1924), Robin Roberts, baseball player (1926), Martina Hingis, tennis player (1980).

The Hits Just Keep On Coming:

A man comes home and finds his wife in bed with his friend. He pulls out his gun and kills his friend. His wife says, "You keep doing that and you will lose all your friend."

The young boy asks his dad, "What is the difference between confident and confidential?" The father responds, "You are my son, I'm confident about that. You're friend over there is also my son. That is confidential!"

That's it for today, my little bullfrogs. More tomorrow.

Stay Tuned !

I like the Gilligan's Island picture. I wish I were there wearing the towel I would be lying on.

I have always thought every place needed an 'Adult Section' and not in the way you are thinking. Resturants need to have a family section and an adult only section. Airlines, too. I hate flying when there is some screaming bratty-assed kid and the parent is saying, "Do you want me to spank you?" or "I'm going to take that candy away from you if you don't stop crying."  Don't say it, just do it!

Happy Birthday, Truman aka Dill!

I think Britney is mentally ill.  I say this with compassion.  I am a certified mental health professional, ya know.  It's all the classic signs.  As long as she surrounds herself with "yes guys" she will flounder.  Too bad, without money, she would have hit bottom a long time ago.   Did you ever see the movie Infamous about Capote and his visit to Holcomb, Ks to write IN COLD BLOOD?  It's great!  Anne

Jimmy,
I've been wanting to say this for a while.  The new way you post your photos...makes it harder for me to view.  Well, not harder, I just don't have the patience to be honest.   I'd rather click on them one at a time....and look at the ones that interest me most, for longer times than others.   I find I don't take the time to look at all of them when they're shown this way.  Shame on ME...but I'm just being honest.
You know I LOVE your journal!

I'm with Nancy on the picture viewing. As for this entry, I long for the old days when children where made to mind and respect their elders. Anymore the way kids treat their parents, not to mention the parents putting up with it is inane bull. (Hugs) Indigo
