Fridays are good, maybe that's why Robinson Crusoe named his friend Friday. As per my usual, I'll be heading to Krystel's for happy hour and join my friends in AREA 51. I'm looking forward to singing a few songs with Kenny during happy hour and with Estevez for the evening show.
Speaking of singing, I've included some pictures of some of my musical friends, starting with the inimitable Carlos Oliva. I've known Carlos for many years and he's a musical delight. The originator of the "Miami Sound" back in the day, he introduce albums with lyrics in English and Spanish and oft time mixed the two, ala "Que Pasa, USA" a bilingual comedy that attained national attention. You can hear more about Carlos by clicking his web page listed here in my journal.
I've known Scotty Migone since he was a boy, his father, Butch being one of my best friends. Scotty originated the musical group "Jesse Strange" and currently plays with his original group, "Philth". He has played guitar with many nusical groups including Millie Jackson, who he currently tours with. I'll be adding Scotty in my journal links soon.
Mercy Silva is a long time friend and currently has a salsa album out that is really enjoyable. I sat in with her group about a month ago during practice and it turned into a party. I'll also have a link to her site here soon.
Odds and Ends: We have no C.A.T. nominee for the second straight week, but it's not to late for a last minute nominee. Please let me know if you have a nominee..... A judge today ruled against (A) O.J. Simpson, stating that the shell corporation in the name of his daughter, Arnelle, was formed as a "scam". This paves the way for Ron Goldman's father, Fred, to go after the corporation's assets, including the right to Simpson's proposed book, "If I Did It". Althought the Simpson corporation filed for bankruptcy immediately after the ruling, Fred Goldman said if he publishes the book, he will re-title it to "Confessions Of A Double Murderer"..... 4:00 Michael Nifong, the assistant Durham county district attorney and prosecutor in the Duke rape case, has admitted guilt and resigned.
The Pictures: My musical friends, a stunning look at a pair of American eagles and their chicks, a picture for Indigo and......you guessed it, the "ususal suspects".

The Hits Just Keep On Coming: Thanks sister, Jeanne !
The husband was always putting off mowing the lawn in favor of watching sports and television. One evening upon arriving home, he found his wife cutting the grass with a pair of scissors. Understanding her clever attempt to make a point, he walked into the garage, then returned with a toothbrush and handed it to his wife.
She asked, "What's this for?". He answered, " So you can sweep the grass off the driveway when your finished cutting the lawn".
The doctors say he will walk again, but he'll always have a limp !
That's it for today, my little crooners. More tomorrow. See you tonight at Krystel's.
Stay Tuned !

I don't think kings ever were really above the law when you look at the number that have been bumped off over the years. I've got nothing against the present Queen, but a good execution would make great telly!
