The Pure Unadulterated Audacity Of It All !

They're trying to enact a law in Manila, Phillipine Islands, that makes it legal for residents to sell their kidneys. While there are many poor people who certainly could use the money, the ramifications of this proposed law are gigantic. Imagine the scenario where children there would be nothing more than caretakers of their own organs until they reached an age suitable for organ harvest. This law, if passsed, would be an enormous mistake.

For a number of years, I have always told anyone who'd listen to me not to put their names on any organ donor list. I know this sounds selfish, but the ethics of some people today preclude any thoughts of charity. I would not like my son or daughter to be on an operating room table with a 50-50 chance of survival, when an unscrupulous medical team had an offer on the table for a huge amount of money from a wealthy person searching for viable donor organs. It just would be too easy to say they couldn't save them. A word to the wise !

I'm still getting those emails from those illiterate caucasian scam artists. I know they're caucasian because I watch the commercials on television, where an obviously incompetent man attemps to persuade his target to accept a phony cashier's check for helping him bring a huge sum of cash to the United States, the bulk of which would be given to the "mark".

Although CNN did a "sting operation" in Europe on these people and found that the majority of these scams originate in Nigeria, I believe what the advertisements say because I'm sure the media would not neglect to call a spade a spade purely because of political correctness.

The Pictures: A very patient hound dog is today's first picture. I've included pictures of a cathouse, Pegasus animated, the Coppertone girl, a redneck flat screen TV and Paws ! There's always some cryptic message, just look for it among the trees. As always, "the usual suspects".

This Date In History: 1860; Abraham Lincoln becomes the 16th president of the United States. 1917; Canadian forces take the village of Passendale in Belgium during the third Battle of Ypres.

Birthdays: Adolphe (Antoine) Sax, Belgian inventor of musical instruments (1814), Charles Henry Dow, American financial journalist (1851), John Phillip Sousa, American bandmaster and composer (1854), James Naismith, Canadian-American teacher of physical education and inventor of basketball (1861).

The Hits Just Keep On Coming: Thanks to My Perfect Martin (besito) !

Two men were discussing popular family trends on sex and marrriage. Tom said, "I didn't have sex with my wife before I was married, did you?" Larry replied, "I don't know. What was her maiden name?"

A little boy walked up to his father and said, "Dad, where did my intelligence come from?" His father said, "You must have gotten it from you mother, 'cause I still have mine."

The divorce judge said, "Mr. Clark, I have reviewed this case very carefully and I've decided to give your wife $775 a week. Mr. Clark answered, "That's very fair your honor and every now and then, I'll try and give her a little something too."

A doctor examining a woman who had been rushed to the emergency room, took the husband aside and said, "I don't like the looks of you wife at all." The husband replied, "Me neither , Doc, but she's a great cook and good with the kids."

A blonde calls Delta Airlines and asks, "Can you tell me how long it takes to fly from San Francisco to Los Angeles?" The ticket agent says, "Just a minute....." The blonde says, "Thank you", and hangs up.

That's it for today, my little moon pies. More tomorrow.

Stay Tuned !

Hey Jimmy,
I often wonder about that organ donor thing.   I've heard of that problem, but still think I'd take my chances and offer up whatever they want.
Having trouble seeing your hidden messages....but then again, maybe I'm not meant to!
Ciao for now.

These days it seems as if nothing is sacred. When we start harvesting human beings, we need to step back and ask ourselves have we evolved or devolved as a species. As always loved the pictures and jokes. (Hugs) Indigo

Now once again you'll have me thinking about that area I checked on the back of my driver's license. Not too long ago ABC conducted a special investigation on ABC about how how people would donate their organs only to find out that companies were selling the skin for penial transplants. Those who needed skin grafts because of burns were out of luck because there wasn't enough to go around after the transplant companies were done with the skin they had.
