Why Does The Hair In My Ears Grow So Fast ?

It seems that the hair in my ears have new found energy at a time when energy itself has taken a backseat. Fortunately, I attend to my moustache and beard on a daily basis, but now it seems that ear trimming is becoming a new art. I remember first noticing this phenomenon when I was younger and attended to the  problem. But lately, it seems like someone is putting plant growth in my ears. There's always that one hair who manages to escape the scissors until one day, usually when I'm socializing, I find a four inch hair protruding proudly from my ear. This usually results in the old "yank it out by the roots" (without crying, hopefully). Ah yes, the complexities of life.

We had some more AREA 51 inhabitants join us last evening at Lakes Cafe and Pub. My pals, Emilio, Melina and Mario joined us at our new wateringhole and it was great to see them. Our entire group has yet to converge there and that's probably good. Just imagine all of your friends' children being dropped off at your house for a few hours ! Aleve wouldn't help. As it was, we had a nice evening and we'll be heading that way again Friday.

The stock market went bananas again today closing at minus 386 (-386). The main reason is that a French bank is in deep doo doo, because of their previous lending practices. They're not the only lenders in trouble as a lot of institutions jumped on the band wagon (while making billions of dollars) in the past, offering nothing down and loaning up to 120% of the purchase price.

As in most "bandwagon" scenarios, the mark of an intelligent investor or lender is to get "off the bandwagon" when you notice that everyone else is jumping on ! Greed is an avarice that spells downfall for a lot of investors and lenders. A good thing to remember that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is !

O.J. Update: The Goldmans strike again. Latest news is that a judge has awarded the family of Ron Goldman any right to income that O.J. might receive because of using his likeness in video games. I love it !

It's been about 10 days and no one has stepped up for the CAT Award ! While a temporary respite is nice, I'm starting to "Jones" for a candidate. Anyone have any ideas?

The Pictures: Do you remember the movie, Cyclops? Well take that concept and apply it to the movie, Shrek. Better yet, apply it to a number of thoughts and that's what we have for today. There's a couple of my favorite redneck jokes, a picture of Shithead displaying his seven toed paws, and.....you know !

This Date In History: 1945; U.S. bomber, Bock's Car, drops an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan, destroying one-third of the city and killing an estimated 40,000 people. Five days later, Japan surrenders. 1974; President Richard Nixon, facing impeachment by Congress for his role in Watergate, resigns at noon. Vice President, Gerald Ford is sworn in to succeed him.

Birthdays: Rod Laver, professional tennis player and two time winner of the grand slam (1938), Whitney Houston, singer (1963).

The Hits Just Keep On Coming: Thanks to my Perfect Martini

You have two options in life: You can stay single and be miserable, or get married and wish you were dead. At a cocktail party, one woman said to another woman, "Aren't you wearing your wedding band on the wrong finger?" The other woman replied, "Yes, I married the wrong man." A woman inserted an ad in the clasifieds "Husband Wanted". The next day, she received a hundred replies, "You can have mine!". First guy says, "My wife's an angel. Second guy says, "You're lucky, mine's still alive." If you want your wife to listen to everything you say, talk in your sleep. I never knew the true meaning of happiness until I got married, but by then it was too late.

That's it for today, my little flower children. More tomorrow.

Stay Tuned !

#14 and the pumpkin sky............I've seen it from my own backyard in Scottsdale. Have I ever mentioned that I see and talk to Mr. Goldman at least twice a year?    Anne

I have a couple of people that need to receive the CAT award. How about Hayes and Komisarjevsky that murdered the mom and two daughters in Connecticut a couple of weeks ago?

Perhaps you should Nair your ear hair.... <grin>

Who says crime pays? As for your ear hair, that is something that definitely strikes the older you get. Doc has the same fight. Difference being he is bald and it would be more noticable. The cyclops pictures where freaky hon! (Hugs) Indigo

Does shithead really have 7 toes?   That's wild!  And is it 7 on one paw and 3 on the other? Or is it 7, and the other 3 have 1?  How the hell does that work anyway, with 4 feet and all.  I'm really confused.  But then again,  I just got back from a rock concert (joe walsh) and I'm spinning a bit.
I'll stop now.

For the Cat award.  A man was on the bridge when it collapsed in his rental car.  Few days later they pull the empty car from the river, no man.  They call the rental service to get the name of the probably deceased and call his home to talk to family.  The man answers the phone.  Neglected to tell anyone he was in the bridge collapse including the rental company, reason?  He was late for his plane.  So he swan to shore , went to the airport and went home.
