Life is like a baseball game. You start young, each day becoming a better player and learn until you're at the top of your game. Later, you start getting traded, spend more time in the outfield, then the bench and then, you retire. I'm spending more time lately in the outfield, but I still get a few "at bats", now and then.
Last evening in AREA 51, during our Friday sessions at Lakes Cafe and Pub, I was joined by my pals, Emilio and Melina, Mario and Carrie, Frankie "the godfather" and my friend, Patricia. Karaoke was going strong and I sang "After The Loving" and "Fly Me To The Moon" (See, Lourdes, you and Hector should have come).
Later on, I convinced Emilio to sing "Wildfire" with me. We've performed the song before, and although we were a little rusty as a duo, the song came out well. I sat with Patricia a little later and we kicked it for a while. It was good her see her again. It was a fun evening, I paced myself, and as today's baseball themed subject suggests, I got one base on balls and no hits (I actually did get a hit, but the official scorer called it an error on the catcher).
I got a new cell phone and it takes better pictures than my old one, so expect to be besieged with some of my rare pic's in the near future. It also takes better video's, so............. !
The Pictures: Potpourri for the most part, the animal pictures sort of reflecting how I feel today, picture(s) of Emilio, reasons why you shouldn't stare at women, one of Indigo's fine pictures and....... the "usual suspects".
I've played this video for you before, but since I heard it last evening, I wanted to play it again (see, I thought about you guys last night). Here's Michael Buble performing "Me and Mrs Jones".

The Hits Just Keep On Coming: Some Rules of the South
Pull up your droopy drawers, you look like an as..., er, idiot ! Everybody in the South, waves. It's called being friendly. Get used to the concept. Turn your hat right, your head isn't crooked. If that cell phone rings while a flock of doves are coming in we WILL shoot it out of your hands, Just hope that you're not holding it to your ear at the time. Yeah, we eat catfish and crawfish. If you really want sushi and caviar, we sell it at the local bait shop. We open doors for all women, regardless of age. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards, it scares the fish and aggravates the alligators.
That's it for today, my little peanut vendors. Have a great weekend and more on Monday.
Stay Tuned !

I've gotten so used to waving with the finger (NO!!!, not THAT finger silly!!) that I do it when I go to the 'city'... people always stare like they are offended or I am from Mars! LOL
I had not heard of Michael Buble until tonight. I am now a fan.
Happy 'hitting'!!

I always thought the tv series of Roots was actually better than the book.

Love the rules of the South! I'm a Yankee here in NY I see way more butt crack than a misguided plumber. As always your pictures are a treasure. (Hugs) Indigo
