I Forgot To Remember !

You know, I gotta start reading the notes I leave to myself! Besides my alter ego butting in (who, me? Shut up!), I also leave myself notes, because if I don't write it down when I think of it, chances are it won't come up again until July. As you might have figured out, I have a tendancy to digress, regress, undress, redress and forget if I left the stove on.

Some people may think that this is dementia, but I have had this malady for as long as I can remember, which is two minutes ago. Thankfully, when I get lost writing an entry, I always go back to the top and read what I was writing (he hides his own Easter eggs, too).

That being said, I grabbed my cell phone today to tell some friends I was on my way to join them for lunch and the phone didn't work. It seems someone forgot to pay the cell phone bill yesterday. When I went to the kitchen to use the land line, I saw the note on the refrigerator, in large print, stating very clearly, "PAY PHONE BILL". Seems easy enough, don't 'ya think?

As I chatted the cell phone company representative to turn my phone back on, I grabbed a muffin and and nibbled on it while I resolved the bill. I then noticed another note on the fridge that reminded me to fax a statement to a client and while doing so, I grabbed another muffin (don't get ahead of me) and ate it.

After resolving the phone bill and faxing the statement, the cell phone rang. You got it, Toyota! It was my friends asking where I was. They had been waiting to order until I got there. When I arrived they just starred at me when I ordered soup and a scotch.

The Pictures: Check out these puppies ! There's some exotic ones today also. but then again, what's new? Don't miss the picture I "borrowed" from Indigo, it's great !

This Date In History: 1707; The Act of Union unites England and Ireland as the United Kingdom of Great Britain, both under the Union Jack, the national flag. 1931; The Empire State Building in New York has it's official opening. 1941; Citizen Kane, starring and directed by Orson Welles premieres in New York City. 1967; Elvis Presley marries Priscilla Beaulieu in Las Vegas.

Here's Madeleine Peyroux, a pert little jazz singer, who's today's featured artist. I put the cover of her album in the pictures because that's where I first heard her.

Birthdays: Glen Ford, actor (1916), Scott Carpenter, astronaut (1925), Steve Cauthen, jockey (1960).

The Hits Just Keep On Coming: Thanks to a perfect martini.

Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery? Why do we something is "out of whack"? What is whack? If you take an Oriental person and spin him around, does he become disoriented? " I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence? If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it "Fed Up"? If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

That's it for today my little reminders. More tomorrow.

Stay Tuned !

I don't write notes to myself, I just put things away so I'll be able to find them easier when I need them. LOL!! NO!! Inevitably sometime in the future when I no longer need said item it finds itself. Glad you liked the picture, the artist is henri peters he does some awesome work. I like the fact that all the faces he paints are painted with some sort of mask, kinda sounds like the majority of us hiding behind the mask of our personalities. Loved the nature pics as always. The one with the sky lit up orange was awesome. (Hugs) Indigo
